Craig, I'm having a good day, thank you. I just got back from a long walk with my wonderful dog, and fellow dog walkers. Now I am going to get cracking on preparing something tasty & healthy for lunch.
I hope your day is going well, too.
Thank you so very much for asking

A Noyd, I think you may have confused me with someone else. I never used the word complainer. The program as written excludes those already working, as well as those caring for children or disabled at home. I have worked
with folks in this population and it's my opinion that their often self imposed isolation is one of their biggest obstacles. It leads to depression, physical inactivity and worse. You should also know that education is an alternate to the work requirement.

Phenology, it's true that many of these folks are caregivers. This program excuses those with small children, disabled or elderly relatives to care for.
In my state, there is even a program that pays family caregivers to care for relatives at home that would otherwise qualify for state reimbursed nursing home care. I support this second program too. Caring for such a person at home is a tremendous undertaking, but if you can do it- certainly preferable.
Thank you for your thoughtful feedback.

@MIDDLEoftheroad2018 except many of these people are doing unpaid care work already.

WOW! Guess Twitter got that toot of mine. Magically un-shadow banned today! But that's the thing, Mastodon welcomed me. I just love that the rules are public. I don't want to be part of a community where people are shut down for having different ideas. Might as well be in colonial era Salem where they burned those who were too different. I feel safe here. I feel free to be me.Thanks Mastodon! Bye bye Twitter!

We support tech innovation of all kinds, even from competitors. 😉

Our wonderful new Mastodon rollout plan is now out for review and negotiation. Twitter is a complete and total disaster - is imploding fast! #MAGA #MMGA

Medicaid reform
So, in the US, several states have introduced health care reforms that require able bodied people who receive free health insurance from the government to perform some public volunteer service. Many people are complaining. I think this might actually be a great policy as it requires people who are able to get out of the house, become more physically active and more engaged with their community. These are all things known to contribute to a healthy lifestyle!
