Yesterday we went to a giant art festival in Manayunk, a hipster neighborhood in Philly. It was an exceptionally muggy day so towards the end we started looking for a place to grab a drink. We ended up outside a Persian teahouse (https://www.safateahouse.com/) and it wasn't busy, so we stepped in. I tried sekanjabin, something described as a cucumber/honey/mint tea, and...
... oh... em... gee.
Turns out it's a new place, apparently a mother-son venture. Sadly (but not for my budget), an hour away.
Yesterday I finished everything but weaving in the ends on a pair of socks I've been working on for over a year. I think I'm going to forever more mentally refer to them as my Solstice Socks. #fiberarts #knitting #socks #SummerSolstice2018
QUESTION: what kind of design choices usually make text or other media inaccessible for you? (For example, use of strong colors, the way the text is displayed, etc.)
I released a lace crescent shawl pattern for sale on Ravelry yesterday! It's called Arrowleaf, and it is 20% off through midnight EDT tonight to celebrate.
Someone said that I was one of their #transitiongoals the other day. It's hard to believe, but I guess I get it.
It's amazing how much things can change in six short years. If you're thinking about transition: don't worry about how you look now, okay? You can do this. #girlslikeus #pridemonth

@esp I need a real keyboard and monitor. There's no way I'm writing code on a phone. I've tried it. It's awful.
if Jesus were born today, mass would be avocado toast and a chai latte.
This notion that you can only be empathetic to what is relatable to you is stupid and that is not *real* empathy. Real empathy is trying to put yourself in the other's situation *regardless* of if you actually understand or not.
Its also frustrating that a lot of neurotypical people claim this is empathy while expecting from us autistics that we empathize with *their* situation which, in many cases, is not relatable to us. But if we don't empathize, we're the bad guys
This is a double standard
oh this is a cool little read. I always assumed women were more powerful in Shakespeare's comedies because turning society upside down is funny, but it's cool if there was more going on than that! https://tmblr.co/ZRlENr2Y05fQn
Twice a month, I create knitting stitch patterns using words as a basis. The words are suggested by my Patreon supporters and selected with an RNG.
The word I used this time was "myth": I encoded the letters as numbers, then charted the numbers on a grid, then worked out how to turn one of the results into knitted lace.

I also publish one of the results as a chart for any craft that uses them.

I think I should try doing some #knitting and watching something on #netflix (or listening to a #podcast) I was going to try that Riverdale show that the youngins seem to like, but I figured I should wait in case my brother wants to watch. Maybe another documentary? I don't feel like trying my like knitting and watching something in Spanish.

Yesterday, on the way home from work I finally decided to go off the path to take a picture of the weird trees. I've seen them many times and they look super weird. This winter the snow got super heavy and permanently altered and even broke several trees. Some places looks like a spaceship crashed there and others looks like a living dream or something hahah 👽👽😕😂
Might inspire some surreal paintings in the future 😜
