Bonus was a damn good dinner made by my husband that made my little Mediterranean heart happy.
Fencing detatched, tomorrow will be fighting it out of the partially buried state. Had to stop for the day because I broke my shovel. In some places, there's a foot of it mashedflat and buried under six inches of dirt and grass roots.
Getting ready to go round two with removing the old fencing. Once the youngest cat decides she's had enough petting, that is. https://octodon.social/media/Vs-geIyl0nHQ0jBbs_I
I fought several years of dirt and grass tho remove some old wire fencing today. New holes in my clothes and hide, and new bruising on my hands, in spite of the gloves. Ouch.
There's still cyclone fencing to come out, but I am pleased with the progress.

Just when we thought we might start getting more financially stable, my husband's car has thrown a rod. It will cost more to replace the engine than the car is worth. Since we're in a rural area with no mass transit, and the roads aren't safe for bike riding with a five-year-old, we have to look for a unicorn. A used car in decent condition, with not too many thousands of miles on it, that we have a chance of affording.
I kinda want to cry right now.
😭 The best coffee grinder I've ever had has finally broken. I really hope they're still making that model. It lasted about a decade.
Yesterday was not a good day. Today hasn't started well either.
Happy, merry, fa la la. And for non-celebrants, I hope you have had a good day.

The three workdays before Thanksgiving are the hardest this month.
Weird dreams of tsunamis this morning. Desperately trying to get friends to evacuate, when in reality they live further from the coast than I do.
Ugh, stupid cold.

*sigh* Munchkin has strep, which also delivered a full-body rash.
Kidlet has been running a fever since last night. Of course, today was her school's Halloween carnival, and the first one she's been to. She insisted on going, and I was volunteering, so the husband got her dressed and made up to bring her. She's barely eaten, and didn't even ask for a piece of the candy she got. That's the best indication of how bad she feels right now. I hate not being able to just make it better. 😢
