"To construct a world is to create an order, make a place or not for each thing, each being, each proclivity, and give thought to that place, change it if need be. With every manifestation of our party, whether it’s in the form of a plaza occupation, a wave of riots, or a deeply moving phrase tagged on a wall, the feeling spreads that it’s definitely 'we' that’s at stake... This is why the first duty of revolutionaries is to take care of the worlds they constitute."

@Antanicus There's #Enspiral too (the community of Loomio) - very sussed on the work involved, and processes for handling it transparently. #handbook is at legacy.gitbook.com/book/enspir . Financial transparency stuff is at handbook.enspiral.com/financia . Basic portal is enspiral.com

#Snowdrift.coop are VERY clear about their roles, processes &c. wiki.snowdrift.coop/about

After the #readinggroup was left wondering, some more, about relationships between #coop and #commons. Calls for thought?

"Crime and criminality were [are] thus constructed to reflect the ideological needs of elites. Criminality was less a matter of what people did than of what they represented. The idea of the dangerous classes was intimately tied to the prevailing economic order in each place, and had profound implications for the systems of social control they adopted." -- Our Enemies in Blue by Kristian Williams

"To equate dissent with subversion, as intelligence officials do, is to deny that the demand for change is based on real social, economic, or political conditions. A familiar example of this is the almost paranoid obsession with the 'agitator.'"

Dunno how ethically made my fabric is, but in an attempt to defeat both fast fashion and the fact nowhere caters to my body shape, I’m finally trying to make some clothes. First stop: pattern drafting.

Sorry, but if you run a hipster café with really low couches with really low tables between them, I'm going to put my feet on the table while I read. And if you ask me to stop, I'm going to give you a look dirtier than your mustache.
