Ah, forum writing contests. My monthly reminder of the vagaries of opinion. I try not to take it personally, but I'm not really a strong person.
That's perhaps why I stopped entering them a while back. Oh well.
@Kestrel Ahhh I hated those things. They always turned out as some kind of popularity contest.
@Nafrondel I found that, too.🙄 I went back a little while ago and gave it another go, just to see if it had changed, but... it hadn't. Oh well - live and learn!☺
@Kestrel What kind of things do you write?
@Nafrondel I used to write quite a bit of historical fantasy/speculative fiction, but not as much these days. Now it's mostly short stories to try and avoid getting rusty.☺
I'd love to write more, but I don't always have the time, sadly.
