Here a cycle counting station in #Bonn on my way to the dance club
6250 today and about 500,000 this year
@vilbi How does does the counting station know how many? Is there a ride-over counter (pneumatic, etc.), or camera?
@vilbi Very cool. Portland, Oregon (where I work) is a very big bicycling town, yet I have never seen anything like this. It looks like you live in a wonderful place.
@Kent @Katharsisdrill same system. Your bike gives an impuls in the cabel slope which is counted
@Kent I was once in Portland visiting my godson there.... nice town and they have some dragonboat teams there...
@vilbi If you ever come back to the Portland area be sure to let me know. My wife and I would enjoy meeting you and show you some of the things we love about the Pacific Northwest.
@Kent actual I have no plans to travel to your coast, but I still remember a 6 weeks tour there. After my student time my now wife and I drove up the east coast from San Francisco to about Eureka, turned to Yellowstone and down to Grand Canyon back via Yosemite...
We loved all the Parks...
Thanks for your kind invitation!
@Kent WEST!!!

@vilbi @Kent
In Copenhagen it is run over counters as far as I know. You pass some cables.
