I saw some of the protests on TV, listened to live reports on the radio, listened to some of the speeches.
It was all very impressive and moving. But made me think we older generations should feel a sense of shame that we never had the energy or courage to light that much of a fire under our own asses.
We're the adults. We shouldn't be requiring the kids to protect themselves. They shouldn't have to do this, but I'm glad they are.
Regarding the "TOOT!" button: I'm just going to admit it, and you can judge me as you will, but at the age of 55 farts still make me laugh. It's sad, pathetic, and immature, but I'll bet many of you out there are thinking yeah me too.
My one-lummox power snow thrower is old, rusty, and creeky, but gets the job done. Barely, and not without complaints. And some maintenance is required the next day.
I have 10 days to kill before I go back to work on Jan. 2. Should I fill up the time with all the chores I've been neglecting, or chill and catch up on my reading?
You've probably guessed I've already settled on the second option, mostly. But I'm needy and seeking validation.
What are others here doing with time off, if you have some?
