Look, I love Star Wars. Seriously, it's great.
But this "May the 4th" shit needs to go.
I have officially resigned from the job that I have had for the last 7 years! 🍻
@NeuroWinter hey congrats, what a coincidence I am about to start a new job today after 8 years at my previous job! good luck to you.
seriously disappointed in myself right now... ~feeling sad / angry ~
Wrote something in a project, which works, but no clue why it is working the way it works.... Gosh I can make a mess sometimes... FOCUS
No regrets by joining Mastodon. I shy away from Facebook and other social media because of reasons. But this really feels like a warm community even though I have not many connections yet. I really hope it stays this way, if so I'll be here for a while. Wonderful day to all!
@kensanata ah lol, So the the whole elisp part isn't officially necessary then? Hmm, then I need to figure out why it keeps asking for passwords! But much ❤ for checking it out! It is really appreciated
@kensanata I suppose writing the out of the startup command to ~/.gpg-agent-info should then work as a backward compatible fix. However, when I do, it still does not do what it is supposed to do. So I might need to tinker the output of that file somehow, since you do a setenv. I am not very at home with elisp is there a "console.log" or equivalent I can use to see what it reads and tries to set?
@kensanata btw gpg-agent version is 2.1.20
@kensanata Hmm, ~/.gpg-agent-info is missing. I also discovered that `-write-env-file` is obsolete, that is what gave the error in my Emacs. Removing this solved it.
However, it seems like it still not working as it should be, I still get the password dialogs when saving. I am trying to figure out why because it does seem like the rest of Emacs booted correctly..
@kensanata thanks for checking, it seems to do more, except emacs now starts up with "shell command succeeded with no output" which I have to ctrl-g first. Sorry for being a n00b :/
@kensanata if you don't mind then I have a question :) Must be a copy and paste fail but I get:
Symbols function definition is void: gpg-restart-agent...
Using emacs 25.2.1
@kensanata cool, I'm having a look now, my elisp is weak though....
@jason cool sign! have fun
Dear fellow #Emacs users. I have a gpg ORG file and whenever I save the document it ask for my password twice. Is there anyway to keep that password in session somehow? It allows me to check the "remember password" but that's not working
Being on Mastodon reminds me I need to learn more languages. I don't understand most posts :(
@lain_i that looks interesting what is that?
New release of mastodon.el (v0.6.1) has been merged to master and should be on MELPA in ~3 hours.

Bought a Magic duel deck and playmat to properly get my daughter started with Magic. Also it has been 15~ years since I've played it... Now the wait begins until she returns home from her grandparents.
