@Areya Yep. That is exactly it.
I do a podcast. It's about critical thinking applied to everyday life, more or less. Hard to describe, fun to listen to. Hosts from Pennsylvania and Norway. Here's our latest. http://doubtfulnews.com/2017/04/15-credibility-street-14-an-imperfect-world/
@kev_mcg Cool. Tea is a marvelous thing, I agree.
@kev_mcg Who is your vendor? 🍵
@freelanceastro Who is my audience is a fascinating question. It's all over the spectrum. My goal is to put out info for the random Googler to find on topics. But this is my second job. I have a regular 8-4 gig that pays the bills.
@skroo The trouble is, I overhear people without a clue. They don't ask me to help. I try but they assume I'm not qualified. It's kind of annoying. But,hey, my machine is working and my data is fine. I can't help them if they don't want to help themselves.
I spent the weekend taking care of living things. Cleaned the fish tank, repotted plants, got an array of new lovely flowers and herbs planted, refilled the bird feeders. Happy. 👩🏻🌾🌸
Widespread network issues in my office today. I try to explain problem to colleagues but they have no idea where their data was stored and never backed it up. In desperation, they call the overwhelmed IT help desk.
It's one of those days when people who don't understand how networks work frantically call the IT help desk because a mapped drive is not showing up in their folder list.
So today I got my first book contract, and a gift certificate from a tea company to review their products. I'm in business (no I'm not). I do review books people send me, though. Usually. The book contract is pathetic. No money in that.
@ThorGoLucky Someone folklorie told me that it was not called Easter from Eostre but of "east". I am not accepting of that because I love the idea of fertility celebrations.
I got 4 notices of requests to reset password on FB today. I did no such thing. I hate that place but it still generates traffic to my blogs. Then I was told is a mac bug. It's all just chaos.
@matthetube I'd totally do this! Safer and better for the environment.
I saved this flower from sunburn after my kid tried to keep it in the snake tank. I have the perfect indirect light on my window at work. Gorgeous color. Pretty, innit?
@kirkman Google reader was key to my website work. I found Feedly to be a viable alternative.
I forgot a belt today. Oh, and the US delivered missile strikes on Syria. It's a shit day but, Friday. 🤦🏻♀️😱

Podcast recording soon. My friends - one from the next town @Nigel and one from Norway - discuss some weird news events from the past two weeks. We're on episode 14 tonight and just finding the groove. Look up "15 Credibility Street" on your podcast app of choice.
@Areya Oh? Who am I? Do you know Kyle Polich? ("dataskeptic")
@annakoop Exactly. I think we can tolerate quite a bit of it and do just fine. We have lots of natural mechanisms to protect us.
