Yesterday I killed and plucked two turkeys. My wife gutted and butchered them. We don't have the option of "pardoning" one bird and sitting down to eat another one. If you're going to eat meat, you should be willing to kill it yourself, no farming out unpleasant reality to others. Yes, it's not practical for everyone, but we should face the truth.

@jason I realize I just sad "I've got it worse"; but transit should be good enough that people can ditch a car. My critique of our local agency is that their employees parking lot is full. That says a lot.
