Dispite the anticipation of significant rioting, there were no police decked out in surplus military gear. No squads of goons with riot shields coraling citizens into a bottle neck, no firing of tear gas or police brutality. Even a last minute change in the protest route to steer it away from the local synagogue went smoothly. The few troublemakers who showed up were aprehended with minimal force. This is policing the community done right.
Nazi march is over with. I haven't heard of any rioting but you can see down between the buildings the mounted police and crowds as well as some of the transport vehicles. the major crossroads of the city were blocked off and manned with police from all across the country. partly for manpower and part for training in crowd control. 1/2
