I don't get why there are still all of these cancer awareness charities going around. At this point I'm pretty sure everyone on the planet is fairly fucking aware of cancer.
Cancer research on the other hand actually does shit, give money to them.

@Guide42XYZ As a European, I assure you that I'm annoyed as well by the pop-ups. It's not like we (as in: citizens) were asked about it, it was just decided as with most nonsensical regulations
I really dislike Europeans and their hate for cookies--they're like the people who campaigned to remove BPA from packaging. What happened with the BPA? They tweaked the chemistry to something "not-BPA". Is it safer? Some say its worse.
Meanwhile, thanks to Europeans, millions of websites have to notify you they use cookies. I don't care--I've got tools to compost them at will and sites can use things that aren't cookies to track you anyway. https://octodon.social/media/3bnj5dsNeoGVjFbIv3U
The UX of Mastadon's federated timeline is starting to grate on me. Can't read anything while it updates. 😡

Google Earth keeps missing out on the opportunity to make money from Realtors. Serious money.

#NixOS is one of the strangest distros I've ever tried. But quite astonishing - I'll need to blog about it soon.

Almost *there* for adding #Cucumber #BDD for http://guide42.xyz/systems/systems-for-systems/ but its awfully "developer"-centric. It probably does not belong there. https://octodon.social/media/4NH2_lfCe3g-3qHmDPM
I don't keep up with technology like I used to, but briefly hearing about AMD Ryzen makes knowing how to program in #Pony that much more important if you want to squeeze performance out of so many cores. https://www.ponylang.org/ https://octodon.social/media/nUL309ChKH0-7dOZKs4
Oh, another movie I saw recently, "The Man Who Knew Infinity" about the life of Srinivasa Ramanujan was also pretty good. Especially if you happen to be a fan of mathematics.
