Lately I keep listening to King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard's Polygondwanaland. It hits me as almost a synthwave approach to psych-rock: not so much genre revival as a hypersaturated highlight reel. Not to be dismissive tho: it's terrifically entertaining, full of memorable bits, and it holds together well as a fantasy concept album. I need to check out their other work. #music
