It shows that while they want to attract people who care about their privacy, some of the people at Mozilla don't care so much about it. They also have a deal with Google: it's the default search engine. I don't think the details are public, but Google is paying Mozilla about $300 million per year for this¹.
I'm still using firefox, because it's a good browser overall, and offers the choice to opt out of such services. Yet I don't like these deals.

@GeekDaddy one tracker is one too many, especially Google. Why does their own site use a tracker that their own product deems privacy invading?
