@Iuckyduck My favorite sci fi film. ❤️ And two of my favorite actors.

@nev Cars wait to go straight, too, and I doubt he'd yell at them.

Which reminds me: I was walking in the middle of a parking lot row-- you know, so if cars don't see you they have time to stop-- and some driver behind me honks once, twice, three times, louder and louder.

I wasn't sure at first that the honks were aimed at me, so I turned around to check. Normally, I might have scooted over to let him pass, but this time I moved into dead center and slowed my pace. I am such a bitch. 😊

Further along the walk, up the hill, the forest makes way for a clearcut. It offers a sweeping view, a chance for contemplation, and for listening to all the sounds.

I love taking photos of cell towers, the way they catch the light of a setting sun.

The next photo is the hay field at my neighbor’s, whose property is like a private park.

Finally, a look back over the hayfields and the sun setting behind the hills to the north(!!!) Look closely and you’ll see the cell tower on the right.

“But on the other side
It didn’t say nothin’
That side was made
For you and me
This land is your land
This land is my land...”

On one of my favorite walking detours— to the nearby cell tower—close to my forest. (The company really doesn’t care, but it still feels a little subversive.)

@compostablespork I suppose coffee is easy by comparison, though maybe more heartbreaking. I very briefly considered if I could salvage some of the coffee somehow before mopping it up.

A plastic bottle of coffee concentrate crashed to the floor this morning. 😱 So I had to clean the floor.

This afternoon:

<looks around>
I guess I should clean the cupboards.

<looks up>
God dammit.

@Linuxtjej Yes! This is a *phenomenal* album, and I don’t miss Alan on it.

I don’t want Alan back to DM. As a Recoil fan, I think Alan would have nothing to gain except cash, but I do miss his influence. A lot of songs missed their potential because DM lacked someone with talent to craft a song start to finish, like Alan.

Now, DM kind of sucks. Delta Machine is a respectable album, but every song still ends in a whimper. I’d say Hillier was the problem, but, um, SPIRIT. Ugh.

@Mainebot Solstice time is noisy. As much as I love the beginning, I’m usually happy when it’s over. Cherries are gone. Fledglings have flown. Sun rises at a respectable hour. Darkness descends properly at 9:00pm. Solstice time is chaos.

even my footprints are gone

I revisited some of my old stomping grounds. Here, at sunset.

Sorry about that last toot. Looking through dating profiles puts me in a snarky mood because they're so bad and ridiculous and depressing. HELLO! I am not dating your STEAK!

Actually, I'm sort of thankful for bad profiles because they making sifting through them so much faster. In the meantime, the mood they put me in is somewhere between *you've got to be fucking kidding* and *defeated sigh*.
