Summer is nigh, and the dark beer has been moved to make more space for IPAs which already hogged the shelves. To protest, I bought some lager. Microbreweries are making some lovely ones these days (Pilsners, too).
Today I bought Ninkasi Brewing Co's Helle's Lager, nice and crisp, less malty than some, but very nice.
Kölsch is the "new" kid on the block, and I've eaten, I mean DRANK it on tap. It's liquid bread dough. Bottled? More generic, but not an IPA. Phew!

@Fritillaria2 No idea, only ever had it on draft in Vegas. Have found traces of it in stores here--rather, my wife has, but it was an empty spot on the shelf, will probably have to wait until next year.
I'll keep an eye out for Elysian Split Shot, but I've not seen it so far. BC has about twelve microbreweries per km^2 and given the season and my experience so far it seems unlikely I'll find that one either.
Sad face.
