I'm torn between inviting a bunch of people to check this out and the inevitable arrival of social media scolds with their rules on how everyone is supposed to behave on social media. This feels clean and fun.
@Rasgueado Perhaps. But, you know, I was looking at my Twitter feed this morning and it frankly depressed the shit out of me.
@Frankenbeans Agreed. The best of digital bouncy castles.
@Frankenbeans But, you know, without the jerky kids that always bounce into you.
@Frankenbeans Keep it clean!
@Frankenbeans Invite anyway. A community needs to grow in order to prosper.
@annatarkov Yeah, that's the danger, ain't it. You need more people to keep it going, but if everyone shows up there's a certain drift towards conformity in behavior. I'd rather just spend my time around other weirdos.
@Frankenbeans <shrug> you could always set up your own instance for weirdos only π
@annatarkov Yeah, I suppose if I survived blocking my mother on Facebook, I could survive Mastodon growing.
@Frankenbeans Precisely
@Frankenbeans fuckin normies
@Frankenbeans don't tell people you know and we'll just enjoy this for what it is...
@Frankenbeans I hear you.I dunno... maybe we'll get lucky? I've seen networks of people grow and be supportive before. Hitrecord is an example of one I've come to love.
