I understand spent coffee grounds are good for banana trees.

Can anybody confirm that?

I have a lot of both.

@Stonekettle Coffee grounds are nitrogen rich which is good for foliar growth... since banana plants are essentially all herbaceous leaves, I would think it's a good match. I don't know about the acidifying nature and if it's good for bananas, so you might want to add some egg shells too, to help neutralize.
