I'm so over having emotions. The number of times I feel something positive is vastly and overwhelmingly undone by all the negative things I feel.

Today is day 50 of my separation from my wife, and she still thinks that I'm just angry, and I'll eventually come back to her. Um, not if she were the last human being on Earth.

The visit from the Filipino teacher to my school went very well. I think there is a very good chance she would take the job were we to offer it to her today. Yay! But let's see how the interview goes first.

The uninvited visiting foreign teacher will arrive at my school at 2 p.m., exactly the time my 3 year old son would be taking his nap. Thanks.

I wonder how many Mastodon users have completely given up on using Facebook and Twitter. My unscientific estimate is that it's upwards of 85%.

Apparently the Ohio Department of Taxation has decided not to allow people in foreign countries to i-file using their website. I get a 403 error "NOT ALLOWED." Thanks, Ohio!

Don't you just love when your bank in the US notices you are trying to log in from some weird location (via VPN) and so to protect your account, they disable your access until you call their customer service? No? Me neither.

I played basketball with Chinese faculty for two hours yesterday evening. Happily, I have no major injuries to report.

I prefer to think of my life as a novel, not a movie. I don't expect all of my misery and unhappiness to suddenly and magically disappear in the third act.
