@jason Yeah. Life got pretty rough, but I'm OK; safe in the US with my folks.

@SuzanEraslan Thanks. It's good to be with my parents, but I wish the circumstances were better (obviously).

@churley79 I brought some USD with me, but I'll need about half of it for a ticket back if I decide to go back.

Apparently Kanye West deleted his Twitter and Instagram accounts 😯 . I'm pretty sure that most grown-ups just stop posting when unhappy with a social network. 🤔

Because I can't use my Bank of China card online here in the US, I'm doing the oposite of "showrooming." I'm researching online to later go to a store to purchase.

Coffee or cereal? Why is it such a difficult decision?

My adventure (and return to the US) began a week ago when my insane wife and her cousin assaulted me in my dorm room. They took my phone, wallet, and some other personal items. The security guards at the school did nothing to protect me or my things. Later that day, while I was out replacing my phone and debit card, my wife and her family broke into my dorm room and stole absolutely EVERYTHING I own and destroyed my room, basically leaving me homeless.

It's been a long, scary, crazy few days, but I'm back in the USA now.

Turns out I was right to be paranoid. In fact, I wasn't paranoid enough.

How paranoid have I become? The mother of a girl I tutor called and asked me to tutor her daughter tomorrow afternoon, and all I can think about is "Is she pumping me for information about what I'm doing tomorrow to give to my wife?"

I'm stress-eating chocolate Oreos with chocolate milk.

Tonight, I'm watching Get Out, and I'm struck by the thought that I'd rather be Chris Washington (the African American boyfriend) right now than be in my current life situation.

I've decided that once my divorce is final, I'm going to celebrate with a bottle of champagne and a new notebook computer. The only question: What notebook to get?

I took some photos of flowers on my way back to my room. Such pictures are a good measure of my attitude. When I'm feeling down, I don't take the time to get a good photo.

My 3-year old son loves water colors. 🎨 I prefer to keep him busy painting as long as possible. He'll want to play games on my tablet as soon as I get ready to go teach my class.

It's a beautiful day here in Changsha, .

I'm pretty happy about my little 14" Asus notebook. It's still running (Windows 10) pretty well after all these years (7).

@Nafrondel The film does a passable job of slowly revealing things, but I think it reveals a lot fairly early on.

@Nafrondel It was pretty good. I knew next to nothing about the plot going in, and I was happily surprised. I especially enjoyed the ending.
