It's been 55 days since I separated from my wife, but she still doesn't understand that I wouldn't go back to her if she were the last person on Earth.
@IndignantBastard Sometimes it's therapeutic to talk about it. At other times, it's just downright depressing because I'm completely powerless here in China as the system is rigged in favor of the oppressor, always.
Are you teaching in China?
@IndignantBastard Yes, I teach English, US History, American Culture, and a basic US Law class to high school students who want to attend western universities.
Did you just get over there?
@IndignantBastard @FadingAway I've been living here for 5 years now.
So the distance caused the marriage to go on the rocks, or your wife is in China with you?
@FadingAway @IndignantBastard She is the reason I moved here. She's Chinese. We met while she was getting her master's degree in the US.
So she lives in China or Ohio?
@FadingAway @IndignantBastard She (and I) live in Changsha, China. Basically, when I met her she was very sweet, but after getting married, she became a shrew.
My condolences. At least you were smart enough to separate.
@FadingAway @IndignantBastard It took me more than a year to build up the courage to tell her I want a divorce.
@FadingAway No sense in being miserable with a shrew.
@FadingAway
Tell us about your separation. It'll be cathartic for you and a learning experience for us. Why the hell not, right?
