Why does everything sound like a trans narrative or metaphor
@Eve i'd go one further, everything is a trans narrative or metaphor [and sometimes even both]
@nothingpaintedviolet totally agree. It's just a matter of what's transitioning I suppose too
@Eve i was being flip, but yeah when you get right down to it what a narrative *is* is the account of a transition in some form or another... beginnings and becomings, that's what all of our stories deal with. and it's very easy for those of us deprived of the specific narrative we need to read into more general ones.
idk this is way too much ramble i'm sorry
@nothingpaintedviolet it didn't feel flip actually---it felt right. And please do ramble ❤️❤️❤️ But yeah I guess there's a projective element to this metaphor finding process as you say. Another version of the trying to make sense of ourselves process....
@nothingpaintedviolet totally! the undying ongoing mythical search (lol) but seriously there is a sort of (vision?) quest aspect to this whole experience which lends itself to metaphor and mythbuilding
