Found out that you can tweak the reader mode of Firefox so I made the toolbar have a transparent background and made my UI theme completely blend with the dark theme.

Are you the kind of person who feel a bit iffy when you get called a TechBro? You may not feel that it should apply to you? You're wondering why everyone's so rude to you?

Well, there's a text out there, which can help enlighten you! And if you like being enlighten and have all the information/cards in order to make a decision, allow me to present you with this guide/resource!

You, a fool: Oh jeez the Steam sales are in, I'm going to spend so much money

Me, an intellectual: Oh, fuck

#Gab #Fedilab

Gabbers work w feds. They’ve had campaigns where they’ve reported sex workers to police and the IRS. They’ve reported nonwhite Immigrants to ICE and the NSA. They’ve doxxed activists and abuse victims. This is not just a ‘free speech’ issue. You’re responsible for who you federate with and who you allow on your platform. Minimizing the threat they pose is just you minimizing your complicity in their violence. We’re not fooled.

Me, before Toy Story 4: the trailers were pretty hype but idk, the end of the 3rd one was perfect Me, getting out of the theater: ok nvm Toy Story 4 is an amazing conclusion to the franchise I’m done 😭❤️

Huh, thanks, movie app whose name starts with a F, that’s a very useful error message.

Funny macOS trick: you can set up blank spaces between your icons on the desktop by naming a folder with a zero-width joiner and setting a transparent icon to it

I'm very sorry to be back on my bullshit but: have you thought about Planisphère by Justice recently?

(Pre-2010 Justice is best Justice, don't @ me)

Finally got around watching the S2 of Stranger Things (this isn't a typo, I was very late) and: phew, it's something isn't it?

rant about foss nerds and the software industry

"Nobody talks about the real reason to use Tabs over Spaces"

This is a pretty compelling reason. Esp. if you are writing open source code.

Just found out about this bluetooth cassette player project and I feel like it might interest some folks in my TL.

(Also transparent! case!!)

All marginalized folk ever: Slurs are bad, you agree?

Liberal dudebros: Yes.

Us: So using them when you cannot reclaim them, naming a product or system after a slur, is also bad.

Liberal dudebros: Well actually!!!
