Folks who know Windows better than I do: why would Windows 10 not assign a drive letter to my exFAT external drive? I end up having to assign it a letter at every single reboot and I can't figure out why. And google isn't helpful and recommending shady-ass solutions.


So I managed to fix the issue by removing the `hidden` and `NoDefaultDriveLetter` attributes on the disk using diskpart as explained in this article

hate that i had to go through cmd to fix it but i'll take that over re-formatting the drive lmao
