So, June 6th, 1944. One of those Big Deal Days in history. The sort that get a name, all caps. A reminder, as I'm an American and self-centered, of what happens not only when the US remembers its obligation to and shared destiny with Europe but also what happens (looking at every day prior to June 6th, 1944) when we try the isolationist thing. Which path do we want to travel on June 6th, 2017?

Oh, and those two pictures I posted last night were taken with a Canon t6 and a 70-300mm kit lens. I'd have to go look to tell you the exposure settings.

- chasten baby
- locate bathtubs
Next time you hear someone say "those who can't - teach" or "teachers don't do any work" need to forward them to a real teacher (like @saganfan, who has spent the entirety of today working on a review, and exam, and her lectures for her Physics class for the week.)
Teaching is a skill unto itself. Just ask any of the "do"ers how easy they find documenting their various projects.....

I can only imagine, having some idea how much time and effort can go into a single shot at the telescope.
I quail thinking about how much I would have spent on the (mumbled four digit number) shots I've taken with this camera in the few months I've had it.

I'll try the higher ISO and quicker shutter next clear night I get. If I step it up to ISO 400, I'd pop my shutter speed up to 1/1250 to get nearly the same exposure?
I'm also going to try setting a higher ISO and using a faster shutter. I used 1/320, ISO 100, with my 75-300mm kit lens (zoomed to the max, of course).
