My fiancé's just told me that his brother's wife's uncle got deported.

My fiancé' father voted for Trump and constantly posts FB memes about how "illegal aliens" are a drain on our economy and are dangerous rapists, when his granddaughter's mother is Latina.

I fucking hate his father. I hold him responsible for this administration, as he acted (and continues to act) as an unpaid social media marketer for Trump. And I always will.

What else do you do with people like that? Certainly can't talk to 'em, at it takes superhuman patience to suffer their company for long (who wants to share space with someone being a complete asshole?) sooooo....nothing to do but walk away and let 'em drown in their own toxic outflow.

@SuzanEraslan @ElectricMink Yes, absolutely. At the same time, there's brow-furrowing, head-shaking, "How can you even say that with a straight face" ... I don't know, disbelief? denial? ... that someone who claims to care about you can openly comfortable with, even supportive of, vileness that's a parody of itself.

@emdeesee @ElectricMink It's definitely disbelief that he can hold his granddaughter and talk about how much he adores her and then turn around and denigrate half of her heritage and ethnicity in such a disgusting and public way. Like, how can you live in that disconnect?
