@Eidon An important aspect of this problem is vaccine supply. If all countries in the world would have sufficient supply, vaccinating the children would not have negative effects. However, with the current situation, every dose given to a child might have been given to an adult to stop them spreading the virus and also to reduce mortality.
And until a very large % of adults in the world are vaccinated, this virus will stay around and mutate.
