‪The moment I let out a satisfied "Ahhhhh" after necking my large over priced train tea, an announcement over the intercom states all the loos are out of order.‬

11 mins till my train & the woman at the ticket window in front of me asks about an offer on the Eurostar. The lady behind the window Googles.
The queue grows.
7 mins till my train & she now asks if she can buy a carpark ticket for June. The lady checks. No she can't.
The queue grows more.
5 mins till my train & she says, "While I'm here can I renew this?"
The queue groans.
2 mins to my train ? she leaves. Avoiding all eye contact.

Breathless, ticket in hand, I leap through closing train doors.

It was almost dark when he picked up the cassette on his desk. 20p from a junk shop.
"What year do I think it is?" he thought. "Who in their right mind listens to tape in 2017... Apart from me?"
He read the spine. 'Depeche Mode Ultra.' Not a band he was really into, but he dropped it into the deck and pressed play. A push of the Dolby C button removed the hiss and he watched the header drag the tape across the spool.
The music kicked in. And he gave a grin.
"Better than I expected." he thought.

Africa in the summer with a broken curling fan. That's what it now feels like after a midnight hot bath. So hot I'm now sweating in bed.

Dogs are not immune,
To sweetcorn in their poo
Just nonchalant about it,
Unlike me and you.

A fascinating journey,
In and down and through.
As I lean to bag it up,
It reminds me I must chew.
