Very glad my newsletter is out. I spent hours in the shed trying to put letters in the right order so that they would make words.

The moon last night
Just finished doing whatever it was I was doing that I thought was more important than sleeping.

Ever time I step out of my shed to wee in the garden I stare at the moon.
Sometimes i get some wee on my feet.
It's worth it though.

Before I get to email i'm sharpening a lawnmower blade. Surprisingly therapeutic.
Some writing around Mastodon's rise focuses on mass adoption being the ultimate goal. I don't think we need one platform to rule them all whether it's decentralised or not. Further development shouldn't be polluted by thoughts of scalability & monetisation. Of course bills have to be paid.
Then there's chat about social graph portability. Yet it's refreshing to drop into somewhere you can start from scratch. Yes I'd like my friends to join but I'm not keen on rushing headlong into the bloat :)
