My folding longboard. youtu.be/zCk3QBEWHCQ
..as featured in my newsletter this week.

Is it possible to remove scratches from the screen of a MacBook Air?

Very glad my newsletter is out. I spent hours in the shed trying to put letters in the right order so that they would make words.

it's now officially the weekend!

This isn't an advert.
It's a gentle plug for an email i send out once a week.

Luke Rhinehart reads it. (The Dice Man) As do hundreds of others.

Some of those readers pin themselves on a map so we can see the network. Some chat in the 'Wire' backchannel.

The email is more my diary than a newsletter as such. Things I did, thought, consumed and bought.

If I have peaked your interest you are one of the curious ones.

Anyone recommend the best iOS app for mastodon? I'm currently using Amaroq.

Just finished doing whatever it was I was doing that I thought was more important than sleeping.

Goodnight.

Ever time I step out of my shed to wee in the garden I stare at the moon.

Sometimes i get some wee on my feet.

It's worth it though.

The moon is beautiful tonight.

Remember being on the CB Radio?

When all anyone talked about was the CB Radio.

Richard Stallman's Mastodon updates are becoming as comforting as the shipping forecast.*

*Shipping forecast reference may only be understood by those familiar with BBC Radio.

In the shed.
shEditing.
All the booze has gone.
DON'T MAKE ME GO IN TO THE HOUSE!

Sat in my shed drinking a G'n'T listening to Tom Petty on cassette and editing a video of me riding a longboard. Wish I was a time traveller but alas no. I really am this sad.

Folks torrenting the recently released movies were somewhat surprised to hear how they were dubbed.. youtu.be/Sv_hGITmNuo

Before I get to email i'm sharpening a lawnmower blade. Surprisingly therapeutic.

Some writing around Mastodon's rise focuses on mass adoption being the ultimate goal. I don't think we need one platform to rule them all whether it's decentralised or not. Further development shouldn't be polluted by thoughts of scalability & monetisation. Of course bills have to be paid.

Then there's chat about social graph portability. Yet it's refreshing to drop into somewhere you can start from scratch. Yes I'd like my friends to join but I'm not keen on rushing headlong into the bloat :)

Documentally boosted

Terrified of activating 'Awoo' mode in the Amaroq app.
