@Averly in fact, creativity sometimes requires constraints to function at all. Many of the greatest works of art exist because of strict limits on materials, meter, or duration.

Yes yes and yes. Some of the best art happens because of limitations, either those already existing in our environment, or limitations we impose on ourselves (and I think some of the most interesting are limitations related to the reason for the art).
That said, these are generally not limitations of ability or creativity or skill of the artist, so from that point of view @Averly makes a great point.
