every good joke i've ever come up with has been immediately followed by a mild panic attack about where i could've subconsciously stolen it from
@marko when I was little and said clever things, my mom would always ask where I'd read them and not believe me when I said I'd made them up. It took me years to realize I could be clever all on my own.
@DialMforMara aw that's awful, though personally I have always been the kind of person, especially as a kid, who'd get really into a book and end up kind of involuntarily thinking/talking like the people in it for a week or two after
@marko I think I've always done that, but am more aware of it now.
