Another roll of black & white film from Oakwood Cemetery in Austin. I learned a lesson. Thought I was taking advantage of the “golden hour” light, but the sun was shining straight on to the stones, which made the beveled lettering hard to read on a lot of these. Need to go do this section again around 1 or 2 in the afternoon.

What a couple of weeks. Haven’t posted in a bit, so I just wanted to report that we’re all healthy here at the house (me, wife, mother-in-law, son, son’s girlfriend) and hanging in there. It’s springtime which is a thing. I have work for now, though I’m piecing it together. Everyone else is retired or furloughed.

Lockdown & anxiety = all day to worry. I need structure.

It’s been a while- so here I am with my granddaughter- she was drumming on me which I apparently found hilarious. She’s a pretty happy little kid.

My brain:

Went to a party & there was a jam session on the patio. I played 3 songs, then Kyle Brock (!) played, & he didn’t have a bass with him so he played mine. It Has Been Anointed! Seriously, Kyle is great - he’s toured with Eric Johnson most of the last 20 years.

*hi-hat intensifies*

Drove 4 hours last night to go caving in the middle of Edwards county. 5 miles from the pavement & the cell service is immaculate. 😕 I kinda wish it didn’t work out here. Oh, also, it’s cold! (That’s not really a complaint)
