Hi, everyone over 30: Who was your favorite local band when you were in highschool?

Did they put out a cassette or CD?

Do you own a copy of that cassette?

How many other people, do you think, still own copies of that cassette?

Do you still keep up with any of the band members?

@ajroach42
We had a very vibrant punk movement in Austin back then. Besides the Skunks we had the Big Boys, Terminal Mind, the Standing Waves, the Dicks, the Next, Joe King Carrasco and a myriad of garage bands. It was a great time to be alive in a major college town before the drinking age was raised to 18. There were many venues in town to support the bands. Most of them are gone now.

@DistroJunkie @ajroach42 Steve Marsh from Terminal Mind just re-released all the recordings he had of that band on CD a month ago. They’re selling it at Antone’s records on Guadalupe.
