"We just thought this was so funny and so Canadian," she said. "A Canadian beaver leading around a bunch of Canadian cattle just makes it even more funny."

@pzmyers here's a theory. Is it possible that human brains are infected with a parasite, like toxoplasma, that makes us behave irrationally and against our own interests? Like infected mice that lose the fear of cats, we constantly regress to failed ideologies and pretend they are something new, and the crowds pretend they are immune to being harmed by them.
The most affected love cats :)
@pzmyers ...and that is why monkeys are still monkeys
@pzmyers I read your blog. Could symmetry have been the first factor for having two nostrils first, then the alternating breathing between the two have developed later to increase efficiency? Do other mammals alternate nostrils too?
Cat memes in cw please!
@pzmyers We need great communicators. It should be up to us to try to find the sources. Gould was a pleasure to read and I learned a lot. Citing every source would have been a distraction.
My son is an Evo biologist graduating next month from Harvard. He and I talk about Gould but not so much about Dawkins. He has a blog (my son) and I like that anyone can read what he writes. Even children. Citing every sentence would take away the fun and the learning.
