LB: the whole point is NOT that people literally want to be unaware of what's going on in the world / politics.
but when you are feeling depressed, overwhelmed, and out of control because you're so afraid and sad about the world, it's nice to have a place you can go to chill out and take your mind off it, that doesn't throw all those things in your face every 5 seconds. Hence the content warning insistence.

Came home to my still basically new 4k monitor having no power, no lights, nothing. Plug, physical switch, nothing helped. :scream_cat:
Managed through ridiculous trial and error to somehow get it to come back from what I can only assume was a bizarro eternal sleep state.

@lindseyb It took me way too much trial and error to realize what magic had let me zoom in on a toot. Especially when clicking on a link or cat picture in it doesn't make it happen :confused:
This is shaping up to be not so bad a day. Starting in reading the next novel on the stack, got more pizza than I could hope to finish, and a shiny, new, much less toxic community to be a part of. Now to drag myself away for a bit and get some writing done and I'll be set
