I'm a bit speechless...

Some Americans really are clueless and deluded about the place of their country in the world. I should know better, but such ignorance never ceases to baffle me.

10.30pm, I'm suddenly starving (I knew dinner was too light).
What snacks are available?
One last (big) slice of bread. Or French cookies that just got here a couple of days ago...

I need to keep the bread for the kids, one of them will want it in the morning.
I just can't swallow a pack of French cookies because I'm suddenly hungry. They're too "precious" for that, and my wife will be upset.

So, I head to the fridge and open a beer. That's how good a father and husband I am.

Ce genre d'actes peut paraître insignifiant, mais si nous nous mettons à faire tous ce genre d'acte insignifiant, le résultat lui ne l'est pas.

Ça aussi c'est faire de la politique, bien plus que de mettre un petit papier dans une urne tous les 5 ans et ensuite retourner à son canapé devant sa télé.
