@Mainebot I've heard that from other people, sometimes expressed as the opposite: once you get a few soldiers to high levels it becomes trivially easy to win everything.

So, I suspect they've optimised for one/two sets of strategies and left the rest patchy.

Just discovered this band. Very trad #goth feel to them.

And this song has saxophone which is a pleasing nuance.

From what I hear, optimising it for consoles has resulted in taking out the nuance that made the originals interesting.

@jelle_dc Phew. I thought I'd fail my "learn a new thing every day" task; then the universe just throws me a win.

@KaYnE I find most boundaries self-imposed; an artefact of a consciousness wired and trained to assume patterns. So, I don't utterly accept the concept of "in".

Caveat aside, I don't think I'm part of a hostile machine illusion.

While I'm aware some campaigners use a narrower meaning of #racism that isn't the common usage one.

So when you claims you can't be racist against whites (in the sense of personal prejudice isn't racism), what average people hear is you believe ethnic minorities are allowed to spread lies about white people.

Not mentioning this because people who use the narrower sense are wrong; just highlighting why middle segment of society we want to win might not hear the message.

@CobaltVelvet Perhaps a "soft" push would do: no one mentioned lists when I started using Mastodon, so if I weren't the sort of person who looked to see what things did, I might have missed them.

So, perhaps a mention that they exist as part of the sign-up would do without the need for adding function burden.

@minego A single word or phrase stands out better than a block of text (hence why titles work even without different typefaces).

So, adding a CW can give a toot a greater impact than one uncollapsed toot within a line of them.

Pleasantly surprised by The Good Place.

It's darkly comic, but also has some solid philosophical bits.

And the main cast is racially diverse without either playing to stereotype or making a thing out of not playing to stereotype.
