@stephanmaus I'd disagree on the strict rules. It even says in the signup info page some of the CW rules are optional, but if your going to go on a 20 minute rant and fill the local TL then yeah you should probably CW.

Trying to get an understanding of Mastodon settings. What is the difference in regards to Mute and Block here in octodon.social or the service as a whole?

Welcome to the wild west. Do not believe that anyone is who their handle says they are unless you can find outside confirmation. Politicians are not here while some tech names have at least created an acct.

@Migukin Did you read the instance explanation when you joined? I mean if you want free and no CW tags for politics there are plenty of other to try. That's the point of Mastodon. You don't like the "rules" of an instance your free to take your name in another.
As someone playing around with duolingo to learn French I approve of our welcome partners here in Mastodon.
