This is a test of connected Toots.
The ability or inability of these "connected" Toots will gauge the potential of longer #microfic within Mastodon.
And with those first two posts, I can see that not only is the potential very good, it seems that Mastodon tackles display of these Toots top-down, rather than down-top as twitter does. This makes for easier reading.
Most excellent. I shall begin posting my latest Twitter "novel" here too. Currently it is written for Twitter, so I will remain with that format until the story is complete. After that, I'll gauge whether or not I'd like to do something completely new for Mastodon as well.
@stardust Don't slouch on me. ;) I say we kick it off. @derwinmcgeary posed the idea. I say we post the challenge, post a deadline in which everything is posted and see what happens. Might be just you and me. But it's a start. You game?
Argh, and now I've already used it. "# mfic" until actual posting time? @stardust @derwinmcgeary
The #microfic #mastofic Challenge. (Probably want to go with just one of those tags so we don't lose character count. Or maybe #≤500? or #mfic)
Any genre story within 500 characters. Must include hashtag.
Maybe the #mfic is best so as to keep the tag special and clear of Toots we've just written.
