I saw tonight yet another example to throw people when they say art doesn't happen on Broadway. A Doll's House, Part 2 was brilliant. It dealt with feminism, relationships, the impact of one's actions on others, and the hard choices we make in life - and when sometimes those choices were actually the easy choices. Definitely worth seeing if you can spare 90 minutes. The design was exactly what it needed to be, no more, no less. A well done piece all around.

I never realized how much I was keeping to myself because I couldn't fit it in 140 characters. Ahh crapola now I sound like everyone else on here.
And at this bar, I am reading a novel. I've never read Pynchon before. I'm not so sure about this one so far. It is called "Against the Day" and I have not found even the subtlest thread of a plot. I am sticking with it, though.
I am no longer religious like I was as a child (and I was fervently, much to the embarrassment of my American Methodist mother and Turkish Muslim father), but I still find religion fascinating-- which is probably what brought me to love theatre so much. It's all just getting people together in a single space to engage in some kind of ritual together.
What a lovely Saturday night. I don't have to be at work every day anymore, so tonight I'm having a quiet drink at my bar reading and chatting about the room with my bartender friend. it's surprisingly quiet here this evening and it fits my mood well
@SuzanEraslan So if I join another instance as well as this one, do I have to have multiple windows open, or does it merge my local feeds into any that I log into. I'm a bit confused about how that works.
Do you remember Cowmunity? Mastodon has almost the same feeling of those 90s communities and chat rooms. I love that. It's like the web made right.

the game theory rant would look even more unhinged with mastodon's 500 character limit, i bet. the barking pseudo-lolcat is-he-doing-a-bit-or-just-on-uppers style that relies on a character limit for what little rhetorical power it has would not survive even a few hundred more characters per segment. the illusion that he knows what he's talking about woukd be broken completely
