My Inner Editor is giving me nasty looks. They require things I post or write to have the option of being edited.

My mind wanders. I don't finish thoughts. I typo. I skip words. I grammar fail. I do all sorts of things that make my Inner Editor cringe.

Sorry Inner Editor, there's no digital whiteout available for your pleasure. You'll have to learn to call truce with unfixable text. Just breathe into the brown paper bag, it will be all right.

Those cute button up overalls & mini versions of adult jeans were the bane of my existence as. I appreciated my Mom's aesthetic, but from the ages of 4-6 years of age, without an adults aid, the push through buttons made them little material prisons.

I watched the kids filter in this morning in those patterened and colorful button prisons. This afternoon, some came out in the spare set of clothes parents were asked to leave at the beginning of school.

Parenting year 4 has taught me to roll w/what comes. To be shocked, miffed, semi-horrified, touched, & amused & sometimes feeling it all at once.

I'm less concerned about effing this gig up & focused on supporting/offering gentle nudges to keep her from wandering too far off path. She can venture down as many roads less traveled when she gets her machete later in life.

Until then, will hack the path & enjoy the journey, even when we seem to veer off course into the ditch.
