28/100: bird card.
I like it when origami is not only beautiful, but also useful.
Wish cards, business card...you'll be sure people will remember.
Where did i find how to fold this one? Look at the card ;)

27/100: carte cocotte/hen card.
An hommage to the western origami mascot.
Designed by Jacques Justin.
What's nice with this model is that if you skip the last step, the wish card becomes a business card.

26/100: la cocotte (or la pajarita in spanish).
In which i've always seen more a sitting dog than a hen.
Certainly the most famous & traditional in western Europe.
So famous that Miguel de Unamuno wrote a treaty about it (Apuntes para un tratado de cocotología).
So traditional that my great-granny used to fold some for my brother & me (something like....gosh! 30/35 years ago).
Hours of fun ;)

25/100: f************k!!!!!!
I did it but forgot to post about it (probably because i spent so much time on it).
Yesterday was valentine's day, soooooo...kind of compulsory topic.

24/100: a mastodon meme (or maybe not, i'm not sure what a meme is).
55 modules to fold, and some disapointment at the end as there's glu involved (what do you mean by "you should have watched the whole video before"?)

24/100: winged heart.
Today's Valentine's day, soooo....obvious topic.
Model designed by Henry Pham (Henry origami on YouTube).

23/100: a box.
Because you need one when you do modular origami.
This traditional japanese model can be folded with or without the spikes.
Easy, simple, elegant. Everything to please me ;)

22/100: *maman les p'tits bateaux qui vont sur l'eau ont-ils des jambes?*
Some do, how would they go forward otherwise? ;)
Model designed by Jeremy Shafer.

21/100: it is a cube. No, it's a rose. No, it's a....damnit! Give it whatever name suits you.
Another modular model, designed by Valérie Vann.

20/100: a cube.
Here is a part of origami i really enjoy: modular origami.
This cube (designed by Kunihiko Kasahara) is made with 6 pieces of paper similarly folded and sloted together.
It's an easy one, very good to start on modular origami.

18/100: horse rider & horde.
This one (these two) is a traditional german origami: "ross und reiter" (it is thought to be about 200 years old).
They were originally painted with the true army colors (2nd pic).
Some models can be seen at Dresden popular arts museum & at Nuremberg germanic national museum (apologies for the poor names translations).

17/100: an elephant.
Because, HEY! We are on Mastodon.
Model created by Fumiaki Kawahata & marvelously explained by Leïla Torres here--> origamispirit.com
Not impossible to fold but you'll need a bit of practice beforehand for some tricky steps.

16/100: a dog.
Model created by Javier Caboblanco.
Had i taken a slightly thicker papier, i could have done the last (not essential) step to give it some realism.
Anyway, i like it as it is.
Time for a walk WOOF!

15/100: balancing bird.
Model created by Pasquale d'Auria.
Was told it is a middle difficulty origami, would say it's a bit harder than that, due to one or two fiddly steps.

A cyberjunky.
Quite happy with it as it's what i had in mine (well...more than the contrary in any case).
Just remind me that next time i want to have some fine details i shouldn't make a freaking 120×120 canvas.

13/100: any resemblance with any irritating-sound-producing character from a mind numbing TV cartoon is coincidental.
model created by Robert J. Lang.

12/100: 2 models.
First: another flower (created by Lionel Albertino). If you use a 2 colored paper, you'll get petals & heart of 2 different colors.
Second : the Verdi flower vase (from Verdi Adams who brought back this traditional chinese origami in the US).

11/100: flowers (traditional iris).
What's nice with flowers, is that they come in many sizes, shapes and colors, even in the same species.
This flower origami is the easiest i've found & done.
More tomorrow.
