🇨🇵 Salut les mastonautes!
Par pure curiosité, j'ai appris les bases du langage Python, et maintenant j'aimerais bien aller un peu plus loin et me servir de ces connaissances. Seulement voilà, je sais pas trop quoi en faire. Toute suggestion bienvenue.
Merci d'avance!
🇬🇧 hi mastonauts!
Out of curiosity, i learned the basics of Python language. Now i'd like to go a bit further and use that knowledge. However i don't know how to. Any suggestion is welcomed.
Thanks in advance!
@roxmsauce
Well....i just completed the python class on code academy, so i guess my basics are pretty much the "not amazing" kind.😉
However, i'm willing to rank them up a bit, even though i can only spend a few hours a week on it.
Anyway, thanks a lot for your time and answer.
no problem, good luck! 👍
@CountZero Set yourself a problem that you want to solve, so that you have a motivation to learn.
Also, over on cybre.space we have the #pcode hashtag for everyone interested in learning to code, mostly in Python. We also have a gitlab repo where you can post your code so others can have a look at it: https://gitlab.com/pcode
But feel free to asks questions here as well!
@wim_v12e
Thanks.
I already found this hashtag, unfortunately it seems a bit off at the moment.
And for the problem i'd like to solve, well....i got no problem😜 (happy life)
@CountZero I'm only happy when I'm solving problems.
@CountZero About the #pcode hashtag, there has been not much activity lately, but the idea is that people like me check regularly to see if there are learners who want any help.
@CountZero Well, maybe a happy person does not need Python? 😄
@wim_v12e
😄
But maybe Python could make me even happier.
By the way, i found something to do as a first "project"; it's not a big thing, but well...i guess it will do: a plus/minus game.
@CountZero Look forward to it!
Hey friend,
Don't know how "basic" your basics are, but Python was my first coding language, and I used a combination of "Python the hard way" and a Coursera course from Rice University to dial my skills up a notch. Maybe look for coding challenges, like code golf, and try solving them in Python? There's a permanent challenge at http://www.pythonchallenge.com, but I will admit some of the challenges are obscure (and others are based off English-language puns).
