@CobaltVelvet one of my favorite password rotation causing events was when a ruby/rails/oracle webapp fucked up so badly it shit out the database password in a user-visible error message's stacktrace, the database password that was specified separately from the connection string
like, to this day i don't know what possibly happened there. near as i could tell, c binding version mismatch caused the runtime to just... detonate all over
