why the fuck did i ever think Docker was production-ready https://github.com/moby/moby/issues/5618
I'll reboot on a 4.12 kernel to try to fix that in a few minutes.
update:
mission failed
you listen to some devops and you end up at midnight building a fucking kernel in production
and it fucking fails because that pile of shit stack needs a dedicated filesystem module that just won't build
and then you're stuck with a 3yo bug that will just randomly kernel panic your production environment when you delete a container
my current life goal shifted towards murdering every docker dev and supporter with a very blunt axe so im gonna play some doom and burn a fuckton of weed
@CobaltVelvet I have flat out refused to support Docker on the big-name OSS project I work on and am on the steering committee for. Someone else can have that headache.
@CobaltVelvet Can I laugh as a gentoo user ?
@CobaltVelvet Because well in ~2 years I still haven’t had containers(LXC, not docker uh) nor kernel problems in production, and the kernel thing is often use as a joke for gentoo.
Update on behalf of @CobaltVelvet : the server does not boot anymore :')
@CobaltVelvet ouch I'm glad I stuck with just using lxc.
