@Elizafox but yeah from what I read a lot of the shitty choices around The Matrix (and especially the sequels) were enforced for commercial reasons.

Like the whole "humans as a battery" thing which is ridiculous if you think about it.
@CobaltVelvet The original plot they were gonna use, iirc "humans are basically a vast supercomputer," was way better.
@Elizafox and stuff like Switch's gender and all that. Small details that could have been nice too, but had to be discarded.
