People complaining about free speech on Mastodon instancesfeels like cis straight people complaining about not not having a place at the pride. IT'S NOT ABOUT YOU, FUCKING IDIOT. Choose your instance and love it. Your instance may not be a perfectly neutral place and that's the fucking point of having multiple instances in the network. Find your place or make one. Don't go to someone else's and fuck it up for jealously. It's disgusting.
@CobaltVelvet and as I never get tired of pointing out, these people are redefining free speech to mean access to someone else's platform and an opportunity to preach to their audience.
And they have absolutely nothing to say about current problems in internet culture where "free speech" is abused to create toxic communities. Always radio silence on that subject. It's just "geez, why do you hate free speech!?" which is irritatingly naive framing of the issue.
