So looking forward to having a big bowl of musli, a few nutella buns and about 2 cakes once I'm done with this low carb thing.

Think I pack my bags and move over to mastodon.technology.
While I can export my following list, importing it doesn't work yet.
And it's not supported yet that I take my followers with me, so you need to manually re-follow Chaos_99@mastodon.technology

Just created another account as @Chaos_99 for a more technology-centric local timeline.

Trying to use for ++ coding a bit more. It's nice, but I have to learn the shortcuts and I'm missing the overview based on functions/classes.

Has been expressed by many in the timeline already and I can only concur: If instances play a vital role in forming user groups and should be selected based on topic and policy, they need a place to advertise themselves more prominently.
Ideally in-app.

:loud_sound: Daily Service Toot: You can find all your friends from the #Birdsite on any #Mastodon instance easily with this tool: mastodon-bridge.herokuapp.com/

Now using Mastodon Variable WIdth tampermonkey script userstyles.org/styles/139721 for using the full width of the browser window

For the record: Did not video-stream nor work yesterday evening. Fell asleep on the couch. Later carried myself to bed.

Brought some private soldering stuff to work. But psssssssttt. Don't tell. :zipper_mouth:

Sometimes, time zones really work against you. Last mail of coworker yesterday: 0:10 before my sleep. First one today: 6:30 after my sleep.

Had to unfollow @internetofshitebooks
Frequency was just too high.

Go to the workshop and video-stream some 3D printer building or just grab laptop and do some work stuff?
When do we get polls in here?

@Chaos_99 @rateldajer Security policies need to be enforced by your local instance. Just as with mastodon, that's a feature, not a bug. I'm more comfortable with e.g. my local hackerspace' admin reading my stuff than Google or Twitter. But yes, docs with limited numbers of users can be end2end encrypted too. (toots obviously not).

Mastodon will probably bring a short revival for Diaspora and GNUsocial. But what I'm really looking forward to is seeing a federated alternative to YouTube/GoogleDrive/GoogleDocs.
Distributed Servers, but federated access to content with apps/webapps following a common access scheme.

keybase please add proofchecking for Mastodon.

Seems like cheapish USB Webcams do 740p for 30EUR, while PiZeroW + PiCam is 40+EUR. So let's put the idea of Pi-based wireless webcams on ice for a while.

Let's confuse things a bit - there is a thing called #matrix - it is a decentralized and modern alternative to whatsapp&co.

You folks choosed freedom for microblogging - let's continue with freedom in chatting.

Also: want to stream in English, for bigger/more interesting audience. But not sure if local viewers will stay.
