it really bothers me that it's possible for apps to forbid screenshots on Android. that should really be a basic, deeply-ingrained functionality of any device that no userland process can forbid or even detect. It's not like there's any way to prevent cameras from just recording the screen directly, so preventing screenshots isn't a substitute for anything.

I find it a good thing: Iʼm more than happy no rogue app can create screenshots of my password manager or banking app. I would even make it a new permission, just like there is one for using the camera.
