since this thread sorta has legs, my grand idea for masto is sort of like.

your instance acts as a post office, you give your thing a type (federate, unlisted, followers but retweet disabled, DM) and addressees (@ targets and a transparent-to-the-user federation-black/whitelist, which they add to in settings)

a fifth visibility, post only to local timeline, do not federate

and a sixth, which requires another feature: instances that follow each other *on the instance level*, a sort of reverse instance block, can form herds.

mutual instances usually share values. Lets call it a herd.

and let people post just to there, too, without wider federation

Don't forget to upgrade #Twidere ! Currently testing version 3.5 32: it rocks ! Lot of bugs were fixed πŸ™Œ

its the year 2050. for 10 years your retinal implant has been blinking 12:00 because the company decided to stop supporting it

#brands are welcome on cybre.space provided 100% of their posts are roleplaying as dystopic capitalist megacorp-states

Also - if anyone has a suggestion for a webhost that doesn't suck at customer service/security, I'd be very happy to move from my current host.

Does anyone know of companies in southern BC, Washington State, Oregon, or California that are looking for linguists with exceptional writing and editing skills and the ability to learn new programming languages quickly?

So, I understand that is the hastag for likes games, not an asshat? Can I use the New Yorker Diaeresis? ?

Has anyone gotten Twidere working with Mastadon? It has biult in defaults for GNUSocial.net and GNUSocial.de so it should be compatible.

Ok, the removing files one by one, easy design oversight. Also, once the error messages go away it stops scrolling you to the top. What gets me is why they decided the right approach to you uploading two files with the same name was to make a 0 KB file that you had to manually remove. Doesn't make sense to me.

Also it scrolls the page back up to the top each and every time.

Note: If you are uploading a paper to Dalton Transactions using LaTeX, make sure the 'expand zip file' option is unchecked. It will upload each and every file within separately, and you'll have to remove them. If you do this, make very sure to log out & log back in, and not just try to upload the file again, as you will then ALSO have to remove a second, 0 KB copy of each and every file.

You have to remove these one by one, from a dropdown with the page refreshing each time.
